FAQs:
Do you accept Insurance?
Yes! It varies by therapist. We accept the following insurances: United, Optum, UMR, Oscar, AvMed, Orlando Health UMR, Aetna, FL Blue and BCBS of FL plans at the moment. For certain insurances, we use a billing company called Headway to verify coverage and costs. You will receive an email from them on how to set up an account, how to set up payment for co-pays, and consents to bill your insurance. We use a separate system to verify coverage for FL Blue plans. I recommend completing this process prior to scheduling.
We accept insurance plans for individual therapy but not all insurance plans cover couples therapy (even if they say it’s covered) so we recommend for couples to be self-pay to avoid insurance issues.
Self-Pay rates:
Individual Therapy: $140 per session for 60 mins
Couples Therapy: $180 per session for 60 mins

How do online appointments work?
We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform to provide telehealth to any client in the state of Florida. All you need is smart device (phone, laptop, tablet, etc) with a camera. Once you schedule your appointment, a telehealth link will be sent to your email. And then to access the session, you’ll just click on it and it will take you to our video session! No need to download any special app or software.
What does “evidence-based practices” mean?
An evidenced-based practice or therapeutic approach means that the methods and techniques used by the therapist are backed up by research/science and are proven to be effective with in helping people with similar challenges. It’s important to note that evidence-based practice doesn’t mean a one size fits all approach. As your therapist, I will still take into account your unique needs, preferences, and circumstances. We will collaborate to tailor the therapy to your needs.
